Singing is good for you - its fun and can help you relax!
Most people can sing but whether you want to sing for fun or become a professional entertainer - it is important to learn how to protect your best asset and increase its potential.
I can show you how to sing, using tried and tested classical techniques that will protect your voice and give you the freedom and confidence to sing whatever type of music you want - based on your voice type.
I am a professional opera singer and have been singing for over 19 years (professionally for over 13 years) and have also been playing the piano since the age of 11.
I will take you (or your child) through physical and vocal warm ups, breathing exercises, vocal exercises and increase your repertoire by teaching you new songs to sing. I also have a full Enhanced Disclosure / CRB check / DRB Check - No: 001454306934.
I can also enter pupils for ABRSM (Associated Board Of The Royal Schools Of Music) Exams (100% pass rate) and accompany all my students on the piano in lessons and exams. I also train my students how to use backing tracks as I believe this is an important skill to acquire.
It is really important for me that I make students (children and adults alike) feel comfortable and relaxed in their lessons by building their confidence and making lessons fun and educational.
I am also a member of The Association Of Teachers Of Singing (AOTOS).
Private lesson fees are £15 for half an hour, £20 for 45 minutes and £25 for an hour.

PIANO - As well as being a Vocal Coach, I teach piano and follow the ABRSM Syllabus for exams. Piano teaching rates are also the same as Singing rates.
As well as being a busy professional performer - I am also founder of Westcountry Opera Society, a member of AOTOS (Association Of The Teachers Of Singing), Peripatetic Singing Teacher at the Tower House Independent School in Paignton and Chamber Choir Director and Peripatetic Singing Teacher at The Maynard Independent Girls School in Exeter. I am also currently studying for an Amus (Music Theory) and LTCL with The Trinity School of Music and a DipARBSM in Vocal Coaching. I attend regular teaching workshops run by AOTOS and Piano Teaching Workshops run by Helen Deakin as I like to ensure I am up to date with current teaching methods.
Prior to this I also taught at Razzamataz Theatre School in Plymouth for two years and Stagecoach Theatre School in Torquay for six months - before performance commitments took priority.
Several of my students have gone on to be accepted at The Royal Northern College Of Music, Leeds College Of Music, Liverpool University, Laine Performing Arts School, Performers Performing Arts School, Bird Performing Arts School and have won scholarships at Sylvia Young Theatre School, Itali Conti Stage School and Leeds Cathedral and gone on to perform in the West End..
